Bats Home Opener will be Resumed on Thursday
St. Cloud, MN - The St. Cloud River Bats will finally play their home opener this Thursday, July 24 versus the Brainerd Blue Thunder. The Bats had their Home Opener suspended due to rain back on May 30 in the bottom of the 1st inning. The game will start at 6:05pm with the Bats batting in the bottom half of the first inning. The game will be a full nine inning game with the regular scheduled game starting immediately after the first game is completed. The regular scheduled game will be a shortened seven inning game.
The gates will open at 5:30 with the first 500 kids 14 & under receiving a River Bats Jersey Backpack presented by Franklin Outdoor Advertising. Individuals with tickets for July 24 will be able to attend both games. The Bats will continue the Home Stand on Friday night taking on the same Brainerd Blue Thunder for William Hung Night presented by Brandl Motors. Former American Idol star William Hung will be throwing out the first pitch and performing during Friday night’s game.
