Former Bat Casey McGehee Gets the Call
St. Cloud, MN - Former River Bat Casey McGehee was called up from Triple-A Iowa to join the Chicago Cubs as Major League rosters are allowed to expand beyond 25. McGehee, used primarily as a third basemen, hit .296 with 12 home runs and 30 doubles in a team leading 133 games played for the Triple-A affiliate of the Cubs.
McGehee (Fresno State) played for the River Bats in 2001 where he appeared in 60 games hitting .237 with 12 doubles and 2 home runs.
