Two River Bats named All-Stars
River Bats pitcher David Deminsky (St. Cloud State) and outfielder Nick Longmire (Pacific) were named to the 2009 North Division All-Star team, according to a release by the Northwoods League.
The 2009 Northwoods League All-Star game will be played on Tuesday, July 21, at 5:05 p.m. CDT in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada.
Through July 12, Deminsky was 4-3 with a 1.90 earned-run average. He was leading the team in wins and innings pitched (47.1), and was tied for the team lead with seven starts and one shutout. He was leading the league with three complete games.
Through July 12, Longmire was hitting .302 with a team-high four home runs, 12 doubles, and a .488 slugging percentage. In 34 games, he was second on the team with 39 hits and 20 runs batted in.
