Lombardozzi to host Youth Clinic at Faber Field

The St. Cloud River Bats have recently announced that Minnesota Twins World Series Champion Steve Lombardozzi will instruct a fielding clinic from 9:30 a.m. to noon at Joe Faber Field before the Alumni Game on Friday, August 21.

The two hour clinic, which is specialized for infielders, will begin at 9:30 a.m. Kids by the age of 10 or older are eligible to participate, but availability is limited. Everyone participating in the event must pre-register by calling the River Bats ticket office at 320-240-9798. Or by emailing Wes at wes@riverbats.com.

Lombardozzi was the second baseman on the 1987 Minnesota Twins team that won the World Series. Since then he has instructed youth baseball players through Double Play Academy, an instructional academy designed for middle infielders.

He is bringing his baseball expertise to St. Cloud for a clinic before participating in the River Bats second annual Twins Alumni Game featuring 18 former Twins players.

The clinic includes instruction from the former World Series Champion and a ticket to the Alumni Game that evening.

Tickets for the clinic are limited and available now at the River Bats Ticket office located at the west end of the M.A.C. or by calling 320-240-9798.
